Tarot spread – freelancing*

For (name, example): Justin

Card 1 - How do I perceive myself as a boss, sole owner?
5 of Wands
You think you're competitive to the point of starting arguments with other people. You're either aggressive or defensive but you always take action to stick to what's yours. You may be conflicted on the inside. Conflicts result from feeling unsafe, unsatisfied, impatient. You may learn a lot from your competitors to enrich your business experiences and self-development.

Card 2 - What makes my offers stronger than those of my competitors?
6 of Swords
Unlike what you think of yourself, the card shows you know how to let go of old ways of thinking or doing things. You're open to new possibilities and learning new skills to settle down in a new environment safely. You know how to be diplomatic and find alternatives to avoid a conflict. Go with the flow and allow yourself to leave to calmer waters when you feel it's time to do so.

Card 3 - What are the weaknesses of my services, products?
IX The Hermit
It may be that you found a niche. However, even it makes you a monopolist at the time, there may be not much demand for your services or products even if they're unique. The Hermit also works alone, he's independent, self-reliant and aware of consequences of his decisions. He loves having full control over his actions but at the same time, he distances himself from a crowd.
This doing things solo makes you work harder and takes more time to have things completed. You have to advertise your offers, find and schedule meetings with suitable clients, do the bookkeeping, complete orders, maybe pack and ship your products too - that's like being many employees in one. Your personal life and relationships with loved ones could suffer as well.
Due to being focused on your work alone and getting so busy, you may have no time for social networking, which could bring you a better traffic, then clients and opinions as well. You don't have to be present everywhere, just pick one or two the most popular networks, classifieds, marketplaces which services are the closest to your core business.

Card 4 - What kind of clients are attracted to my offers?
4 of Swords
They are thinkers and hesitaters. They were thinking a lot before choosing the right contractor but even when they already placed an order, they might still delay a delivery of requested items, information, answers to your messages etc. They are slow to pay as well. Yet they are easy to be guided throughout the creative process and may agree to many of your suggestions.

Card 5 - What do my clients value the most of all my services or products?
The King of Wands
It's more about the personality. They like how you operate your business - you get where you desire to be, you want it and you claim it yours. The King of Wands represents the fire element and he has it well under control too. You may be handling many tasks at once with high speed, power and courage. Clients find you steady and timely - when you promise them a job done, you will always deliver it on time. You are a no-nonsense man, you cut to the chase immediately and are direct about your needs and possibilities. You are bold in telling the truth - if you can't make it, they will know it right away and reasons of the rejection too.

Card 6 - What aspects of my business influence clients' positive decisions to place orders: prices, on-line ratings, high quality of services/products or perhaps my own personality, good look, energy, understanding the needs of others?
(Prices & ratings - Minor Arcana without the Suits; quality - the Suits; you - Major Arcana)
XIX The Sun - Major Arcana - you
Again, it's you who draw an interest and pull returning clients as well. The Sun is also the element of fire which aligns with The King of Wands (and the Leo zodiac) who showed up above. Clients feel good in your presence. You give them action, motivation, total satisfaction, good energy thus they want to cooperate with you further. They find you being steadfast and fearless, though quite egocentric too. You love talking about yourself but who knows you better than you alone?

Card 7 - What has caused a fallow period in my business lately?
The King of Cups
Perhaps you fell in love or got married to someone crucial in your life which event made you pay less attention to your business at the time. Maybe an older man (Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio) had brought some unresolved emotional issue into your life which pulled you away of your freelancing because you're worried about him. Otherwise it's a positive card of another King who has his kingdom (of emotions, healing, the water element) under control.

Card 8 - What should I still do to attract more clients? Where, and how should I advertise further?
7 of Pentacles
You'd already cared for what had to be done. Now you need to let it develop naturally. There are algorithms at work you can't control. Make sure you're patient and expect your efforts to bloom. Avoid overdoing but do refresh your offers on classifieds or other advertising platforms when you get a message to do so.

Card 9 - Who could be my first new client when the fallow period ends?
6 The Lovers
It could be a couple, or your business admirers as well. Could be real twins, twin flames (spiritually one) or a person born under the Gemini zodiac. They could be the people who are indecisive and need to be encouraged. Prepare two attractive offers for them. On the other hand, they could be folks who come with a B2B offer yet the best match for your business. Surely they will be sent by the Universe since it's a Major Arcana card.

Card 10 - What kind of income may I expect from this incoming order?
($$ - Minor Arcana without the Suits; $$$ - the Suits; +$$$$ - Major Arcana)
XVIII The Moon - Major Arcana - a large sum of money
As above, the card speaks of good money, maybe so big that you could be afraid to accept it smelling something illegal or with strings attached. Make sure you have it all on the paper with conditions, signatures, stamps, etc. as The Moon brings a confusing, irritating energy. In addition, you could be paid on the day of the New or Full Moon.

Card 11 - Should I offer my services/products to overseas clients, on foreign freelancing platforms, marketplaces?
(Major Arcana, even numbers - 'yes'; Minor Arcana, odd numbers - 'no')
3 of Swords - no
This is the card of a heartbreak but also too much logical thinking in place of feeling and following an intuition, the heart's wisdom and guidance. You're good where you are at the time, no branching out is necessary.

Card 12 - What should I be aware of before I add a brand new offer to my business listing, catalog?
The Queen of Wands
She's the partner of the King we saw above. If you're married, the new offer may somehow collide with your wife's expectations, the family life, the romantic zone. This Queen represents a quick, dominating energy which wants to act right here, right now. Don't go into anything extreme, don't post the offer too fast. Think twice if you have time or resources to do additional things, if you can commit. Try not to burn bridges to your past connections or services as they maybe still useful. Be direct and bold about your new offer, make it shiny and outstanding.
